Finding the right agent is one of the most crucial steps in buying or selling a home - you want someone who listens to your needs and wants, someone whom you trust and are comfortable with, and a professional REALTOR® with the knowledge and expertise to guide you through the process. Not hiring a real estate agent could potentially cost you thousands of dollars. The assistance of a REALTOR® has plenty of benefits; the most important of  them being is that I have a fiduciary responsibility to look out for your best interests. When you hire a REALTOR®, you enter into an agency relationship. Agency is a legal relationship and a written agreement should be completed to explain all the duties and responsibilities. There are three types of agency relationships:

•buyers agent an agent who represents the buyer

•sellers agent: an agent who represents the seller

•dual agent: an agent who represents both the buyer and the seller
